Faced
with a rapidly growing population and significant budgetary constraints,
the design of Loma Vista continued the extensive use of popular construction
connected by site-built covered walkways. The site design was heavily
influenced by the high parking count required and the size and shape of
the contiguous park and fields. With help from DSA, we were able to secure
approval of the project on November 3, 1998, which met the deadline imposed
by the Office of Public School Construction and secured $3 million in
matching funds.
