Design is a process that starts with a program
of the clients requirements for types and sizes of interior spaces,
intended functions and desired appearance. The architect takes these
elements and develops a schematic plan that describes how the spaces
relation to one another and some very general ideas of how the building
might appear. Through trial and error, a prevailing concept emerges.
Next, this concept is developed into a set of preliminary drawings,
that describe how the various spaces function, how they are furnished
and finished, and how the building or buildings look, seen from
a distance. Utilizing 3 dimensional CAD (computer aided drafting),
we have the capability to fly over, walk around and walk through
designs, allowing the client to experience aspects of the space
before it is built. |
